[impreza_GC8]

This car confuses me. '01 was the first year that the "new age" Impreza was introduced. It sold in every country but the united states as the "bugeye" WRX. We received the bugeye in '02, but it was the same as the cars that were sold a year previous in other countries.
'00 would make this car be the GC body style like my car.
Additionally, the taillights are from an 04-05 body style vehicle, but I suppose they could be swapped over but in order to do so you must get an 04-05 bumper as well, which could have been done seeing as it is an aftermarket kit.
Additionally again, the front is quite obviously a custom fit '08 front end. The article mentioned nothing about that from my quick read.
Anyway, interesting car, just curious what the real deal is with it.
