Yeah... seeing as that this member bumped the thread- I guess it gives me at least a chance to say
something rather than nothing at all.
I typed up "JDM" in google and luckily found this place. Hehe, anyways-

The Evo being
lighter than the STi would ultimately make it faster, but, because of the fact that the STi has more horsepower and torque, it compensates for being heavier. Then, the supposedly most important fact about these two cars; They say that when the Evo shifts, it gains more power, where as the STi... it
loses power. Giving the Evo a chance to gain the upper hand in a race. Heh... Sorry for assisting in reviving an old thread...
