i say you get the tranny and youll be happy with it. just get intake header exhaust and a nice tune. but the ls tranny is sure to slow you down

it already has a AEM short ram and a catback exhaust. stock header. im wanting to buy one of those whale's penis intakes from passwordjdm see how that does. and buddy club header???

b16 tranny is popular with all motor setups. i was running my built b20vtec with a shitty ls tranny for awhile and it sucked. picked up the b16 tranny and it was like day and night. id recommend the tranny for b series all motor setups. a different final drive would be great as well. like someone said earlier, it does suck to be driving on the highway at 4,000 rpm. mpg is ftl

This is exactly why you put an ls 5th gear with a b16 1-4th gear set. Who the hell races in 5th gear anyway? I know my car never makes it to 5th at the track, I mean its close to redline by the end of the track but I still don't have to shift.

Thats because your car isnt fast enough

b16 in a teggy is gonna feel slow because it has less torque than either of the B18 motors...LS or GSR both make more torque...
