all this for a stupid button
I am currently building a 92 integra ls....b20b block with a port an polished b18c1 head. (she pulls like hell btw) I just recently pulled every wire, plug, and relay that dealt wit the AC an rewired the radiator fan to run without the AC condenser fan.(pain in the a**) I took the AC compressor, condenser, an condenser fan off the stock b18 a couple years ago an dont plan on puttin AC on my b20 beast....ever....what I want to do now is get rid of the heater control dial that says AC since I will never have one in her again. I have looked at the rs an ls setups an was curious am i gonna have to switch the whole thing an go with the slide type heat controller instead of my push button type? or can I just buy the switch assembly for the rs since they did not come with AC from the factory? the dial does not have the AC switch in the center for the rs so can I just get a new dial knob? I dont wanna pull all that stuff outta the dash an find out that all I needed was a new knob, nor do I wanna buy the just knob or switch assembly an find out I need to switch everything to the slide type heat controller...it looks to me (from what I can see looking at the two models heater control designs) on acuraautomotiveparts.org that all I should have to do is swap out my ls switch assembly for the rs switch assembly...any help would be greatly appreciated
