FS TW: Fully Built 2000 Honda Civic Si Coupe

Ok, Im thinking about it but its not a defenite. More of a "just wondering what I could get for the Car" type deal. I've had countless debates with Friends in regards to the Price that I would ask for the Car IF I were to Sell it. Some say the Price is ridiculous and I would never see that kinda Money, others say it is a great Price for the Car. I just want to see what other People involved in the Scene think. First Ill give you a little History of the Car.

I purchased the Car in March of 2004. The Car was pretty clean minus a few dings, dents, unnoticebale scratches, and it was missing the beloved Si Front Lip. It was also rocking some disgusting 17" White Motegi MR7's, with JDM CTR Center Caps. The Car does have a Bad History of unlucky shit that has happened to it. Some People think I have extremley bad luck (which is VERY ture) but I jsut think the Car is down right cursed.

The first disaster happened when I went to have my Timing Belt and Water Pump replaced at 90K Miles. I was low on Money and my Brother-in-Law did the work for me at a Shop He was working at. I paid the $200 and left. About 2 Weeks later I was going to Work and when I entered the Parking lot, i noticed that my Power Steering was no longer working and that my Battery Light went on. I parked the Car, popped the Hood and to my astonishment saw that the PS and AC Belts had fallen off of the Crankshaft Pulley. I managed to slip the AC Belt back On and just cut the PS Pulley so it would not get tangled up. I did not know that that day my Car would fall Victim to a snapped Timing Belt. On the way back Home from Work, the Timing Belt snapped. At this point I decided since the Motor was going to be fixed, I might as well replace EVERYTHING and fully Build it. I knew what I was looking for and went to Work. After 4 grueling Months the Car finally ran and 3 Months later Tuned and I ALMOST achieved my Goal of 200whp and150lbs/tq (I made 191whp & 140lbs/tq)

The Car ran very well and I was happy with my accomplishments. Untill my Hondata started going haywire. Comes to find out, my Tune was corrupted and I needed to have it Re-Tuned due to the Shop having a Computer issue and losing my Tune . . . . . Car was re-Tuned and made 191whp and 148lbs/tq. The Car ran a tad bit better and I was happy I was finally done with the Motor . . . . . . . . .

Then comes the most recent tragedy. I was going up to Northern MA for my first Auto-X when something dreadful happened. The Car just died on me and Me, my Girlfriend and a few Friends were stuck in a Parking Lot for 10 Hours 100 Miles away from Home . . . with no idea what happened. Once we finally returned Home (due to the help of my good Friends Tow Truck hook-ups ) I managed to find out that several Teeth from the Timing Belt broke off and I again . . . . did some serious Damage. New Valves, Valve Guides, Head Gasket, Valve Seals, and timing Belt were purchased and I was off to work . . .for the SECOND time.

Once the Head came back from the Machine Shop I was off to work to get this thing started. We ran into several more problems (Car would not Start) and figured there could have been a problem with the Valve Lash. My Brother-in-Law came to the rescue again ( ) and said that the Timing was off when we KNEW the Timing was right. Me being the idiot I am and being very desperate, went ahead and worked on the Car with Him to fix the Timing issue . . . . which was NOT the issue. The real issue had been with the Valve Lash and from us cranking over the Motor so many times, caused MORE serious issues.

The Head was sent to another Machine Shop where they determined only one Exhaust Valve was damaged beyond repair. The others were repairable but this one Exhaust Valve ahd to be replaced. I used one of the good Omni Power Valves from the previous set-up and the Head was reasembled and put back on.

The Car is running now and has been since it started up. There have been a few problems with the Cars Alternator and Battery but those problems have all been fixed. There was also a problem with the Cooling System Heating up fairly quickly, but that also has been fixed. As of now, the Car does not have any Mechanical Problems what-so-ever EXCEPT for an Oil Smell that comes when you get on it or Hit VTEC really hard. From what alot of People have told me, it is fine and there should be no worries. Oil doesnt leak or anything. The Car currently has 1 Electrical Problem. Not really a Problem anymore because it was fixed . . . very Ghetto fix, but fixed.

I kept having a problem where the Alternator Fuse would blow. We tried everything. Replacing the Fuse, Alternator, the Alternator Clip/Wires. Nothing would work. We came to the Conclusion that there must be a damaged wire in the Engine Harness Grounding out and blowing the fuse. We went ahead and replaced the Entire Engine Harness only for the Fuse to still blow. We still dont know what it is but thinkit could have to do with the Wiring Harness behind the Dash which we werent about to go through. What we dd was replace the Alternator Fuse . . . . . with a Key Ring. This has been done for over 1.5 Years and I ahve nt had any Problems with it. Works fine.

Cosmeticly, the Car is in great shape. It has been in 2 Accidents though. My Mother backed up into my Car damaging my Front Bumper and my Drivers Side Door. Car was sent to a Body Shop and a New Bumper was put on and the Outer Door Skin was replaced and the whole Drivers Side of the Car, from the Fender to the Rear Quarter Panel, was re-painted. I also rear ended a Dodge and fucked up the whole Front End. Ther WAS NO FRAME DAMAGE THOUGH! The Front Bumper, Headlights, Grill, Fog Lights, and Radiator Support were all replaced with Brand New OEM Honda Parts. The Hood was replaced with another Mint Condition ViS Carbon Fiber replacement. The Drivers Side of the Car is in great Shape since it has been repainted. The Passengers Side has a few Scrathces and dings but is not bad at all. Roof has a scratch, Trunk still has the holes from when the Wing was removed (holes are plugged up though) and the Rear Bumper has a bunch of scratches, the biggest one covered up with a Sticker The Front Windshield has also been Repaired. The Cracks are no longer visible but you can see the Repairs

Interior is in excellent shape. The Rear Seats have been taken out and so have all the Carpeting in the Trunk. The only thing thats really bad in the Interior is that the Climate Control is Broken. I taped it and its fine now but you can still see the Tape. Other then that, its in great shape.

The Motor itself has roughly 21,796 Miles on it. I keep track of all the miles I put on Her Weekly and have all my Maintenance kept track of in a Word Document. Every 3000 Miles she gets an Oil Change with Mobil 1 Oil and an OEM Honda Filter. Body has roughly 115,000 Miles on it also.

There maybe a few thing I am missing but the stuff mentioned is defenitely the Most important stuff. I frequent www.jdmuniverse.com , www.jdmcivic.com , www.honda-tech.com , www.black-japan.com , and www.importtechonline.com. If I have a problem or a question, I post on these Forums. So If you look through my Build-Up Threads or recent Threads, you will find more info there.

Now onto the Price. The amount that I would be looking for is $12,000.00 Alot of People think that that is too much, others think its a decent Price. Remember, the Car is not officially for Sale, more of just finding out IF I could find any interested Buyers, AND if the Price is good!

If any other info is needed that I missed out to help with the determinating of the Price I am asking, Please ask so I can get that information. Here is my most recent Photoshoot of my Car. Sorry about the Sizes of the Pics.

The Car does not have A/C or Power Steering. Bumpy ass ride, very Low, non reclineable Racing Seat, Sticky Ass Tires that are no good in the Snow or Rain.

Great, clean looking car. Would be interested in this vehicle if I could find a way to get rid of a 99 EX that's an automatic, lol. Otherwise, if you decide to sell im first on the list with your 12,000.
