1/8 or 1/4 Mile?

Okay, here on the island of Oahu we don't currently have a race facility.
But one is in discussion for construction.
A multi race facility that features a 1/8 mile drag strip......wtf!
All the other tracks that are on the other islands are 1/4 mile.
But here in Honolulu, the states capital, they want to build only a 1/8 mile track.
Who will want to travel to Oahu for race events........? No one.
What do you guys think........
cause most of us here on Oahu think building the drag strip only 1/8 mile is going to be just a waist of money.....

Fuck the streets.

Maybe you can try to get a petition to make it a 1/4 mile track. It's worth a shot!

Yeah same thing here in miami, they opened up a 1/8th mile, i personally always preferred 1/4. But 1/8 mile is good for practice launches and less drivetrain stress, i mean it beats racing out on the streets.

I have a 1/8th mile track about 25 miles from me. Its fun and everything but it ends too damn quick! I barely pop it into third and then I have to brake. On top of that, I have to wait an hour per race.

Petition for 1/4 mile.

Hey an 1/8 of a mile is better than nothing. It's also a lot safer than the streets. True, at an1/8 you would barely hit 3rd gear.

I run high 6's in the 1/8th mile with my turbocharged Mustang. 1/8th mile tracks are still fun.
