thanks guys i was looking into getting the Greddy Type-S. Is it louder than the stock BOV when it's routed back into the intake? please let me know because i want a little more sound then the stock one. Thanks again. Please give some good sites that have the Greddy type S for cheap.

McFerio you really do no nothing do you? Yes the 1G BOV will work but it is far from the best. They can leak and recirculate some of your air charge causing the turbo to work harder. Not only that when you turn the boost up higher they have the potential depending on the turbo and CFM of airflow, to not be able to vent enough of the intake charge causing compressor surge.

Dude get the SSQV HKS BOV....I have it on my Eclipse... It is crazy looking and sounds like a monster...I can get it for you real cheap brand new...Go on Google and type in SSQV Blow Off Valve and read it for yourself.....They have a bolt on kit that you can put on yourself in like 5 min....It retails for over $250..I can get it for like $190 or $200....You get what you pay for...Let me know

why are you asking me if i know nothing? i have no problem w/ running 20psi w/ no leaks, stock they leak after 18psi (roughly), which is why you crush them...works perfectly, and is a lot cheaper than an aftermarket unit. also, when you start running bigger turbos, just run 2 of them, works just as good and is cheaper than a large aftermarket unit (greddy type r, tial 35mm). it also depends on your setup, if you're running a maft, you can run a blow through set up, which will allow you to just vent them, which is nice as hell. i'm not here flaming, but i'm not dumb. |
