Im working on doing the Type R conversion. My problem is, I want to go with the b16b engine but I hear its not turbo friendly. DO you guys recommend going with the b18c GSR swap instead? Money wise I don't have a budget since I'm doing it slow. It is a daily driver, but I would like to have a fast daily driver and eventually a drag monster. Theres a lot of mustangs, and neons who I'd like to shut up on the streets. haha Any advice will help. Thanks. I'm currently from South Africa and have a b16a.

Problem I am having is that everytime my car gets to it maximum temp, than while in vtec the car starts fluttering and loses power its like something is holding the car back.

I have checked the vtec selonoid, checked fuel regulator, checked distribitor and plug wires.

now I'm totally lost and do not where the problem is.

I got a pretty good deal on it, but it needs a lot of work. First off it has a GSR B18C1 in it, comptech headers, aem intake, cat delete pipe, and a stock exhaust.

The car is running rich, and i think it's because of the cat delete pipe and no o2 sensor. Also, it won't pass smog in the condition it's in. I live in the Bay Area, so smog is pretty strict in Cali.

I would like to put a stock cat and a aftermarket exhaust on it. I just want it to be a simple daily drivable vehicle. Having a GSR motor, which stock cat part would i need to put it on there?
