PCV VALVE BROKE! 99 Civic

I was attempting to replace the pcv valve on my 99 civic, but the valve snapped in half. I got the one half out of the hose, but the other half is stuck into whatever it is that it goes into. Does anybody have any idea how to get it out? Space is tight down there and the car is jacked up, not on a lift or anything. I've been trying to get it out for about an hour now, I really need to get it out. Thanks.

I think I may be screwed now, the piece of the valve has recessed into the hole and now there is nothing to see and nothing sticking out to grab on to to get it out. I'm really at a loss for what to do...

Glad you got it out. I probably would have tried a pick set, namely the hook to grab onto it. It seems sort of odd that it was stuck in that tight.

yeah i'm not sure what the deal was, he thought it was vapor-locked in there, but its got that hole in the end so i don't see how that could be. We had lots of ideas on how to get it out, but the fact that the area around it was so tight, and that the broken piece was flush with the thing it was stuck into, there weren't too many options.

so glad that crap is over, I was about to take the whole intake manifold out just to get to that piece.
