2003 Civic brakes squeak upon pedal release?

The squeak is coming from the passenger side front. Anyone have this before? It only happens when I release the brakes.

if the squeek is just a one-time squeek when you release the brake and it sounds like it is coming from inside the car instead of outside then get some WD=40 and spray the pivot point of the brake pedal up under the dash.

hope that helps........

the caliper could be sticking. check your brake pads on both front tires and see if theyre wearing out unevenly

It's from outside.

Maybe, I'll have to check it. The other side looked fine when I was changing my oil.

No clue, we go by miles here, man. About 16,000 miles. The driver side looked fine. I'll check em on the weekend.

What brand of pad are you using? Not likely but it could just be the material of the pad.

fuck it just change the pads out and have the dealer look at the old ones to see if they are re-useable

My car is a 2003 and way out of warranty. Besides, I would rather do not have somebody at the dealership get their mitts on it.
