Hey guys, I have been having lots of issues with my wipers every since i got this car but with this crappy weather its becoming a little annoying! So they only wipe about 3/4 of the windshield and then when i turn them off they don't go all the way down to the off position. Every once in a while they go to far down and slap my hood and make a god awful sound that make me cringe because i really don't want to have to repaint my hood! Anyone who has had this problem and has fixed it please tell me what to do!!

Re-adjust the arm. Unbolt it, lift the arm up and out of the holder, then place the arm to where you want to them to sit as the off position then press down and bolt it down. Try it again to see if it'll hit the hood. If it still hit the hood, do what I explained to remove them, have it a little bit higher than last time for the off position, and re-test.
Or usually when the wiper motor goes bad, it'll stop 3/4 half way up from the off position. Happened to me once and I replaced the wiper motor and problem fixed.

I am not sure about Accords but on a EF there is a relay box attached to the fuse panel on the drivers side. They go bad and cause havoc on the wipers. Just a suggestion.

Thanks alot guys. i spent some time on it today.... I did what you suggested nuss and i think my motor is bad.. think i might have to get another one.
Hey JDM CD5 F20B are you absolutely certain they are in good working order? if they are in good working order you are going to have to shoot me a price and we can go from there. Its like if u owned a store and i walked in and asked you the price of dish soap, and you asked me to make an offer.... i would say free and the cost of shipping lol.... see what i'm talking about?

The relay seems to be working but as far as i know, well i guess i really don't know ha ha ha, thats why i'm asking everyone on here.
OH and nussdog, there is play in my wipers, when they are off, I can move them about 5 inches to the off position and back up freely... it doesn't have any resistance in it like i believe it should.
