The F22B Swap to a 94'!!

Ok.. i must say i was very intrigued by the current swap goin on with the 1990 Accord!

... So will it work in a 1994 Accord EX coming from an F22B1 Vtec motor w/5-Speed tranny? But let me say i am a member at the Hondaaccordforum.com and you guys seem pretty involved with JDM type mods to Hondas and such.

I talked with some gurus around town and they were telling me this engine is great because from a JDM dealer you get a low mileage engine, it's DOHC pushing higer compression than the Vtecs, which means they redline higher, and they of course have more output from the factory. Another idea is I was "told" that these particular blocks can suck some boost and ask for more when it's done.... What do you guys think?? I mean you can beat the price on these engines when a full H22 swap runs $3000+ for a decent swap...

your talking about the F22b2 DOHC non vtec right?i have one in a 92 civic coupe and i love it. it has alot of torque for the money i got mine for 400bucks. anyway its a good swap for the cb7 accord more power more torque than the sohc vtec motor and its an easy swap, direct bolt up it will also run with ur stock ecu but it will through the vtec codes, im using a p72 because u dont need the seconday tbs in the manifold and also egr i have both remover and no p/s a/c everything i could take i did. o and higher reving yes mine handles 7200rpm on a daily beating lol

the f22b2 dohc is a better swap for the money ur gonna spend on a h22a1... it'll be around 1100-1300 to swap and u'll get one with anywhere from 25-50 k miles on it... so the motor is still a baby... but keep updating cuz i wanna do the same thing so let me kno how it goes
