Its either Boost or Swap. I don't remember if the Type S has the ATTS tranny but if it does, then I say don't get it because its hard to wire up the ATTS.

I'd either go for the JDM H22A or the 2.3L blue top H23A DOHC VTEC.

If the motor in the car still runs good Id just get some exterior things done first then get the H22.

Or just boost your current motor if it still has good compressions and you'll be untouchable because F22s are notorious when it comes to boost!

Well my friend a G22 setup is simply a f22 block and an H22 head...its a beast of a motor when fully built and it a perfect motor for boost.

You'll need a compression tester kit to start out with. You'll need to d/c the distributor, maybe unplug the injectors, & remove the plugs and use the correct plug size from your compression kit then hook up the remaining tools along with the gauge.

You'll want to have someone crank the car up and listen for the *tur tur tur tur tur* five times while the motor is cranking over; if you know what I mean by *Tur Tur blah blah*. lol Do that on all four pistons. Then you should get a reading around 180psi on all cylinders and all of them should stay within 5-10psi away from eachother. If one of the cyl reads wayy low for example, If all three reads around 180psi while one reads 120psi, that cyl is not right. Something's wrong with it and needs diagnose.

Juss BOOST that motor . Get the most out of it but built the internal first so the motor could handle the boost .

If he's going more than 12+psi, he'll need to build the bottom end, but some ppl may go higher than 12psi on stock internals with a good tune; who knows. It all depends if its a street or track car.
