Engine swap 2.2 for a 2.3

My 94 honda accord has a 2.2 f22b1 engine in it and about 280k I was a able to get a 2.3 f23a I need to know if ther was a big change between the two engines. Or if i sholdnt have any issues with replacing one with the other...

i dont think u will have any problems. if the f22 is non-vtec and the f23 is the u gona have to get the wire harnees of the f23 and the ecu. and another thing if u havent get the engine yet try and get a jdm f22b non-vtec or a h22/23. it will cost u about the same but is a big diference in power. i hope this will help.

i agree with juacocb7. the non vtec jdm F22B DOHC is a great swap i personally have it in my 93 and the torque on it is quite impressive and the constant rpm power thoughout the whole powerband. and all parts for it just look up under the H23 off of the prelude. hope this helps

I'd go all out on a 2.3L Blue Top H23A DOHC VTEC mated to a T2T4 LSD 5spd trans. Just my opinion but I know thats not what you're talking about here.

Couldn't he just swap out the dizzy instead of doing the whole wiring harness swap if he plans to stay obd1?
