91 crx HF build starts now

Ok so ive been haggling a guy on the other side of the island for almost two years and he finally let go of his crx. It sat in his garage the last 3 years covered up. Its 5 speed with working ac and most importantly its 98% rust free with the exception of a tiny bit of bublbes on the rear hatch. It camr with a bunch of parts and a spare si interior including the dash. For now Im gonna clean up the engine bay and interior and save up for a swap

Nice Bro! It looks like a great base to start from. Reminds me of Tj's old Rex.

Tj's old rex became my old rex too haha. This car is slow and stock other than the carbon hood. Tj's old crx was insanely fast but it was rusted pretty badly and had seen alot in its life. Im stoaked on it being the 91 style and the ac is killer for hawaiian heat. Ive got a r&d thermo exhaust on the side. Right now there is only half an exhaust on the car and its super loud. How do you guys think the r&d will do on the hf motor? Any fitment issues? Will any d series header work?

The exhaust should bolt right on! As for the header any d-series header will fit but you will have to get either a test pipe or a new cat. The HF has the cat attached directly to the exhaust manifold. Dont trash the manifold a lot of people used to use the HF exhaust manifold as a turbo manifold. There are adapters that allow you to bolt a turbo in place where the cat is...

Nice CRX! Gotta love a cold blowing AC system. Like B said, a header, test pipe/new cat and exhaust.
