EF picture Thread???

hey all whats up? i've been thinking: what do you all think of a Sticky EF Only Pic Thread?? a place where we can see who owns/drives what?

it would have to be a thread with pics ONLY, no comments, but i think it might be a good idea. i just dont want to overload the place with sticky threads, so i want to get all of your opinions. let me know what you all think and what kind of rules we would need to have in the thread to keep it pics only and running smoothly.

i like it. it also gives ideas on other things we might need, want. i know a lot of people aren't gonna like that idea, because they like their jdm stuff being original, but u can only do that for so long. I think it's a great idea.

I think its a good idea. Maybe a restriction to on photos, maybe only 2 photos, so the thread does not take forever to load.

on another forum i was on we did this, members rides. what we did was put our name, year, and 1 picture.

that's a great idea too, but 1 pic is a bit boring i think we should have a few at a time, but not over do it.

even tho i wont put my piece of shit on there yet!! i have no fender and driving that shit around looks like the sky from primer and absolutly no jdm parts

cool. glad you guys like the idea. i like the limit the pics idea. i was thinking that or limit posts in there.

but how many images would be sufficeint? im thinking between 2 and 4. cause some people might want to show off all aspects of the car, exterior, interior and motor. so thats 3 already, so 3-4 i think would be good/fair.

i'm thinking maybe we can set it up like 1 post per member, per car (so if you're like me and have 2 EFs, you can post twice.). and only post URL linked photos to help keep the load down.

and we could do it like this:

Car
Car nickname (if you have one)
Engine
Mods/JDM Mods

then Pics with optional description of anything specific in them. ie: notice how i used my USDM corners with my JDM front end (i am doing that actually)

so how does that sound?? ok to everyone?? my only concern with this though is the mod list, it could get get pretty long with some people, should we even do that? or should we limit the amount of mods to like 5 of each (interior, exterior, motor, suspension?

let me know what else you guys think. cause like Si_Racer said, this has been done before, but i want it to be able to load fairly quickly and i want a nice, tight setup, so its easy to find someones car, etc. if we are gonna do this, i wanna do it up right!

thats a good point. but for bandwith speeds and page loads, that might not be good to post. so maybe if we post the resized images in the post, and then have a URL link to larger versions, it would be a good comprimise for everyone.

I think it is a great idea, but there should be a limit to the size of your pictures that you post! (Gotta remember the guys with 56K)

I like that idea...I'm always searching for pictures of EF's. Definitely no comments, just straight pictures.

i think there sort of was one, but people was posting replies and multiple pics or posts.

i'm thinking of a nice clean, easy way to find what everyone drives, and a nice place where people can show off their ride. And yes, i think it should be of "our" cars, more along the lines of an EF Member's Rides

and why only 3-4 pics? cause not everyone has broadband, so we don't want the Dial up guys waiting an hour for a page to load pics. how many pics do you suggest??

well since it would be like a 'member gallery' i suppose 3-4 is cool. but if it was a thread to just post pistures of EF's, i would say post as many as you can
