really? sf's? i would think at least qf's with the amount of time and $ being invested in this car. i would not expect a standard cast wheel to be on this car.

Well I wanted something durable/light and i knew would clear the brakes. I don't need to go and buy a 1,000$ set of wheels just for the sake of that when a set like the buddy clubs do the job just as good.

It's not about price/quanity this is more about comforts to me and quality. Also after you have about $30,000 in a car at one time let me see how many things I can find that could be high dollar

I did make a budget on this project and we well went over it which is expected. But I don't feel the need to get high dollar parts when another does what I want at a cheaper cost. But hey at least they aren't rotas

good point on the budget aspect...i was just expecting something with a touch more flair to it like the rest of the car. it's not just another crx with a rear disc swap and a b16 in it, it's definitely something special. i had hoped for maybe some old school works or something that you picked up for cheap and restored. just as functional, same cost, old school appearance, forged.

i only paid a fraction of what most pay for my mugens and put some time into them. hoping for something along those lines.

Well I was looking at some mugens and I was actually going to get my sparco racing wheels redone. But to be honest I think mugen wheels and most of the others are played out. Also I wanted something light since I plan to do A LOT of auto-x and other track stuff and I couldnt stand to see a great set of wheels get beat up on and as of now I don't see a point in having multiple sets of wheels so I went with an all round purpose wheel hehe.

Down the line I may get some nice old schools for show and daily, we will see

Yes, i know, its about time i actually posted some progresspics, but as you'll see, progress in this stage is visually 'slower' (by far) than the previous stages... but that'll be changing soon enough i guess

Here's what we saw when we went to the body shop today:







See? Doesn't look much different, does it? LoL

Well, here's what you DON'T see right off-hand... This is some smoothing that is being done over the headlight area. There were a few holes in this area that aren't going to be used, so they are filled in with weld, and ground smooth. They are trying to make it so that minimal body filler is needed with the project:



Also, here is a pic showing the seam sealer being removed. The sealer will be reapplied, but a lot more 'ninja' than it was before... hehe. Making it so that it does not stand out like a sore thumb



And of course, the prime-time-pic.... the picture in the sun of the actual color being applied to the car (we had them spray a spare fender to make sure it is the color the owner wants) :

Can't really tell a lot but comparing some work done to one side vs the other was a huge differance and also the paint looks 100x better in person just with the sun on it made it look amazing and thats just a bare paint w/o really any clear or wet sanding

That brake and wheel combo is going to be sick!!! Personally, if I was ever repainting my engine bay, there's a shit load of holes, and seams that I would smooth out too. Thats gona look amazing!!! I like the color too
