Rear control arms advice.

I'm doing a rebuild on my suspension and have been collecting the parts for well over six months now. I'm at the control arms part, but there are a ton of control arms out there and would like some advice from those of you who have the aftermarket ones. Ie. Eibach, function7, skunk2, etc.

Much appreciated!

I have Function7's on my wagovan, and Skunk2's on my hatch.
Function7's are a little better quality in my own opinion.

Function7 offers quality parts to the LCA's...the build and the bushings. Even still, if the bushings aren't properly clocked on installation, you can wreck any bushing on any LCA faster then you think.

Clock them properly, and any aftermarket LCA should last a good couple seasons.

I bought the F7's, but how would you clock an LCA bushing? The dealer told me that bushings are energy suspension bushings.

Rubber bushings, or any bushing not fully floating needs to be clocked. The LCA pivots up and down, the bushings twist and control movement. When you tighten it while the car is raised, then lower it down the LCA adjusts to your ride height, now putting serious twist on your bushings after its been tightened.

Always clock your bushings

Think of a clock. You line up your non-floating bushing so that you don't twist or squish them. Example: If the car needs the bushing set to 2 o'clock and you have them set to 6 o'clock, you'll twist or squish it and cause it to break down prematurely. On floating bushings like prothanes they'll "float" to the needed position. I never thought you'd need to clock the lca' s though, but yeah I will.
