Paint Quality Question

When my cousin was at checker auto the other day he told me that had champ white paint by dupli-color. now as some of u know that the color im going to paint my rex. i know the dupli-color champ white isnt the same as ITR champ white, but my main concern is, is this dupli color paint any good or is it junk? My wifes uncle will be painting my car since he is an auto painter for a living. he told me i just need to buy the paint, mask and prep and he'll do. But is this paint any good?

junk. it has no lacquer thinner in it which makes the quality of the paint look a lil dull compare to a DUPONT or PPG single stage paint job. don't go cheap on a paint job, youll regret it.

Not sure about the basf but I know when I was getting my paint that I went with the OEM color I wanted. It was very costly BUT it came out the way I wanted it....its like if you want a crx si...dont settle for a crx hf.... Sadly Ive noticd a lot of places charge you top pricing for a great paintjob but save/make money on the customer by using cheaper paint. Again it may last awhile but it wont look the same...also the prep/primer is a HUGE helper in this process also.

Its a company, like dupont, that makes automobile paint. Their paint is called "Glasurit".

I just went with a straight black, and I believe the body shop used a Dupont paint. I also hear good things about PPG as well.

I used napa paints (champion white) on my hf and ended up spending around 400 bucks in paint and materials alone.I still ran out of clear coat at the end.:s sad. This was my first time painting a car so do it right and don' go with cheap paint.

(note this was done outside)lol a the one wiperblade yes i added the other one and painted the moldings black afterwords.
