With my swap, i did Zero welding.... Most people when they relocate their rad suports to the drivers side weld them in ... but i didnt have a welder so as a temporary fix i just drilled a bolt straight though them and through the frame.... works for now...

gathering all the parts...... its not really a hard swap once you research it enough ... its just time consuming....

u cant really answer that question. there are too many variables... mods, driver, tires, track temp. u would have to just build one and find out. a k series is just alot of work. i think when i eventually swap motors again ill go back to the h22. it pulled really hard as im sure a k series would but its just too much custom work to be done. also does anyone know anyone who has done and h series " ls/vtec" doin like an h23 block on an h22 head ? i was thinking thatd be sick. bored to like 2.4 or 2.5 hahah thatd haul ass.

^^^ i disagee.... theres really not much "CUSTOM" work to be done at all.... The aftermarket has it all covered...... if you can drop your own b/h ... the k is no big deal to drop in...

serisouly, dude, there are no more custom mods than a trcked out b series....... everything u can get commecialy... fuel lines/axles/motor mounts/ and the wire harness....... the most custom work you have to do is remove the passenger side chasis motor mount.... and let me tell you, it takes all of 10 minutes.....

like i said .. the work is fairly easy, and the parts are very reliable..... gatheringparts, and doing the swap is just very time consuming...

I know people that have NEVER done an engine swap before. One of the kids bought everything from me and his car was running like 2 days later. He had to call me a few times for tips such as the fuel line flare fitting and such, but it's not any harder than a B series swap. No Kidding.

All of the parts for the swap you can you get from a single place, and everything is as reliable as anything else. A K swap would actually be MORE reliable than a stock because you're replacing more stuff. New engine mounts and bushings, axles, new fuel lines, new fuel pump, ect Stuff that would usually go out or go bad down the line if you're using old stock used parts.

If you research it, you'll find out why it's the best engine to put in ANY car.

Eww..yeah thats the thing about the trannys. They could be a bit stronger. I know a few people that have toasted them because they beat the shit out of 'em.

Not really any solution but to take it apart and check it out. You can buy replacement parts, or you could buy another one. I hate taking the trans apart, it such a pain in the ass.
