I have a PRC intake manifold with a 70mm inlet to match the throttle body, but like you said and i have heard that the RBC makes more power. Do you think it would be worth getting a RBC manifold in my position? Since I already have a bored PRC manifold...

I do agree with you though, a $1100 header will make more power than a $500 header. Im actually looking into a DTR-FAB header myself.

I thought KPRO had stock maps for the K20A, A2, A3, and maps for intake, header, exhaust....?? Since you say I cant use a stock map with KPRO....

yes there are stock maps and then there are maps for say a k20a2 with a race header, and different varriations.

Well now that were on the KPRO topic... Are those intake, header, exhaust maps any good?? Or am I better off just sticking to the stock K20A2 map??

We went 12.8s on slicks with a stock Type S running the Type S cold air map.

It really depends on the intake manifold. I'm not sure off hand how big the S throttle body is, but if the 70mm is considerably bigger then I would say start off with that. Obviously a port matched setup will flow better, but you never know...

I know Import builders has a a ported RBC manifold out now which is supposed to make some kind of crazy power, now that IPS is going out of business it will be a while before their manifolds will show up.

Like I said earlier, there are stock tunes on the KPRO, but they are all dyno tuned stock maps. So you can really put your theory to work unless you have an RSX...

I know AEM makes a hybrid intake for the k series motor swap in a EG but do they make one that will fit the RBC manifold. How big is the hybrid intake anyways.. 2.5in. , or 3in. ???

Unhappy

I heard IPS is still going to make cams and sell them to big companies to be distributed but who knows how long that process is going to take.

What are the best cams to get for a K20A2 besides IPS since i probably wont ever get a chance to get my hands on them

As far as I know, IPS is still in business, but they are not selling to the public anymore. Only through dealers.

AEM doesnt offer an intake to fit with the RBC due to the angle, however KARCEPTS does.

www.karcepts.com

Best cams I would say would be the IPS, I know I still want a set over my Skunk2's.

The basemaps on the KPRO can dramatically affect the cars power, but there are some that will ruin it. Stick with the simple maps until you can get the car dyno tuned.

The fan switch is at the bottom of the radiator, the coolant temp sensor port is at the top.

We should have these beauties available very soon!

As long as there arent any wires hanging out, im going for the clean look. Ive seen other peoples swaps and they have the adaptor but all of their wires are exposed and it looks terrible. But this radiator should help How much are they going for though???

You're going to have wires.. There really isnt anyway to get rid of them. You can hide them and make it not as obvious but at some point you really dont have a choice. I have my coolant temp sensor threaded in the top of my waterneck with the use of an adapter fitting, and I run our hose insert in the bottom radiator hose. Do that and hide the wires and you'd never know.

The swap radiators havent got a set price yet. More info coming soon!

Using the bottom hose is a great idea. But is it possible to have both the fan switch and thermo sensor on the bottom hose with the use of the adaptor??

You can, however since the lower hose has the coolant with the lowest temperature, your guage wouldnt really read accurate.

Also, I find it's best to put the fan switch in the top just because when you have the fan switch in the lower hose, the fan will only kick on when the temp reaches a certain point. At that point, when the lower hose (coolest temp) reaches a temp where the fan would need to be activated, the upper coolant would be a very high temp.

The safest way would be to have the fan switch and the coolant sensor in the top, or have it in the place were the coolant reaches maxium temperature. I have the fan switch at the bottom as a last resort, I have the fan hooked to a manual toggle switch which I turn on and off at my leisure.

I went to k20tuned.com and they have the temp. sensor with the reducer to go in the hole on the waterneck like your setup, I think im just gonna go with that.

http://www.k20tuned.com/xcart/produc...cat=264&page=1

Ive also seen people drill a hole on the waterneck right next to their temp. sensor and put their fan switch there... do you think thats a good, reliable idea??
