I'm on a tight budget so i've been looking to build a "junkyard turbo".
So i was just wondering,
I saw a stock SRT-4 neon turbo for sale with the manifold,
the guys asking 350$ (or trade for racing seats)
And well i do have racing seats i never installed yet,
I'm just not too sure if its the right size for the right power.
the turbo is a Mitsubishi TD04LR-16Gk with a 6 cm2 (0.93 sq in) turbine inlet.
I'm looking to reach 225-250 whp on stock internals, at around 8psi im guessing??(does this sound right?)
So would this turbo fulfill my needs? is it worth what hes asking?
THANKS ALOT.

Okay...Im gonna be nice
The SRT-4's "turbo" is actually a turbo and manifold in one.
Too save money they made the manifold and turbine housing one piece....the manifold itself it made to fit the head of an SRT-4 NOT A HONDA
So you would have to devise a way to make it fit...which even if you could do would cost you more than a simple "junk yard" $150 manifold and $150-$200 turbo
I know times are tough but if you cant do something at least half way right...just take it one step at a time.
Focus on getting a clean, fresh motor in with good tuning items in place FIRST and hopefully by then you will have researched what a good turbo system looks like.
I am a big fan of either the T3 Super 60 (baby turbo, quick spool) or the T3/4 57trim with stage 3 wheel
On an LS or B16 those turbos will be fun on the street and the 57trim will be good for 11's when you turn up the boost.
The key is quality...you can run a halfass mani at 250whp....but it will hold you back when you want 4-500whp
Take your time...its not a race
