Seems as though Merritt is somewhat famous in the JDM Civic community. I don't see why? Attractive, knowledgable female with great taste in cars...

Thats the thing. If I leave him negative feedback then he is going to bs and leave me negative feedback. I bought the prelude sockets for the citylights today, but it seems i need the other end of the harness as well. Anyone can give me some tips on what needs to be done with the city lights? As far as installation is concerned.

sorry to see you got some cracked housings. I'm sure you'll be able to fix em up like you and your friend were doing.
As for the wiring... just tap into your driving lights. If you want full control of the lights on/off ability... hook up your own switch inside the car. Easy install but can be a pain in the ass fishing wire thru the firewall. I'm sure all will work out just fine for you! Keep us posted! :thumb2:

Boobs, I bought these sockets this past weekend for the prelude like you said. Just seems like its missing the other end of the harness or something. Do I have to buy the other end of the sockets as well and can't I tap the city lights into my parking lights instead of running the switch. Appreciate the help. Here are the pics of the sockets just to see if they are the right ones.

you could buy the plugin side but it's much more expensive. I've seen it connected in a few different ways...
Yes, you can just tap into the driving lights *Disconnect your battery 1st! ~get some black heat shrink about 3 to 4 inches long - large enuf to fit over the socket... some female wire clips that fit snug on the male ends inside the socket... obviously when you have found the right ones to use - then connect the wires to the clips then to the socket and to the driving lights... do a "test" to make sure you're connections are solid and correct and that they function. Once that's all good go back to the socket and fit the heat shrink over the socket... if you like soldering you can solder the wires on the female clips then connect the clips to the socket... pull the heat shrink far enuf over the socket, clips and wires... proceed to heat the heat shrink slowly till it's snugg all around... just to be extra safe you can add some electrical tape around the heat shrink about an inch past the heat shrink on the wire end. Continue with the rest of the install... running the wires however / whereever you can - most people seem to be able to fit them inside the black wire loom that's already there OR you can buy some black loom to make it look cleaner and better to your eyes. Make sure everything is connected, sealed, out of any moving parts way etc... connect the battery, set the radio stations and clock, go cruzin and enjoy! :thumb2: Seems like a lot, but it's not! You can have this done in under an hours time! *If I missed anything... it's cuz I'm at work and have work things on my mind right now. :con2:
