this is a stupid question, but I am a stupid person. I ask because my car has no front axle, because it is being replaced along with the rotors on the front. I am taking the tires to be balanced and I would do this as well. Can I take the cooler to be drained or once I undo the hose it will just shoot out?

The whole system is pressurized, so if you loosen even one connection point, freon will come shooting out. Invariable - it will go straight for your eyes. Wait until your car is back together and drive it in. It needs to be professionally discharged BEFORE you loosen any fittings or connections.

is it hot over there? if it aint cooling, yeah it needs freon, you can buy freon for like $5-10 i just refilled mine and it cools awsome, will you loose power? with the A/C on, yes. If it off, i dont notice jack worth a difference and i ran w/o a/c belt on for a long, long time. Will i ever take my A/C off, never! at least till my car goes 100% track

Then Maybe I'll just sy fuck it and put a couple cans of coolant in it. It's just Inever use it ayway. It's hit about 80 85 up here the past week. not to bad. I know it won't save power, it's not holding back anything I can't pik up by changing an air filter of something. It's gotta weigh a bit, no? But i'm not concerned with that yet... I guess there is no real reason to remove it. I may remove it and leave the hoses on, just so I can get to my header easier so I don't have to drop the motor or what not to get to it.
