2000 Civic or not
Need some help, my daughter has a 2000 Civic 2dr coupe that she hit a deer with. It took out the hood, bumper cover, left fender, headlight and door. To get her back on the road I purchaced a CAPA bumper cover, fender and 2headlights off ebay(so they matched) . Believing to have the right bumper cover and fender I painted them and placed them loose on the car awaiting to receive the new headlights. When I got the headlights and tried to aline everything, the headlight on the left side fit the fender but the right headlight did not and the bumper cover fit to right fender but not the new left fender. Come to find out her car had 96-98 front end not a 99-00 and the auto body parts store sent me the wrong year bumper cover 96-98 not 99-00 I had ordered. $hit going down hill and cost going up to fix. So now I need to fix her half 96-98 and 99-00 Civic. I should have done a title search because other problems I've had like wrong wiring harness now make sense. Does anyone know if there are any other differences in the front clip I should look for to figure out if I should finish repairing this as a 96-98 or 99-00?????

the hood, the headlights, the fenders, the bumper, and that center grille are all differeent between 96-98 and the 99-00. your best bet is to find a wrecked 99-00 with the front end intact and grab that up. your not going to be able to fit the 96-98 front on the car unless you get EVERYTHING i mentioned above. chances are if you got the right headlights you will only need to get another front bumper and everything will fit. i say go OEM and stop messing around with an aftermarket company that may or may not send you the right stuff...
