got my first 99 ej8.. need some advice

hey guys actually this is my first civic so i wanna ask you guys for some advice to make look good starting from the 1st step..btw its a black 99 civic ex just got it last 2 weeks ago and i dont know what is my 1st step to do with it so if u guys can help me...thanks!!

its cool everyone calls them eks because thats how it is in japan and everyone wants to be "jdm" now it depends what you want to do with the car. my first mod if iwere you would be a nice set of coilovers lower it a little bit and get some better handling.

yeah thats what i thought too but since were here in america its a ej not an ek....

that is the first thing that im thinking about too coilovers... but u think is it cool if i just gonna use the stock springs?? till i get a lowering springs...

haha nice man ek is my first civic to. there is alot of things that can be done to you car. So its just up to you what you want to do to it.

i say use your stock springs until you have money for a decent set of coilovers.

yeah your right....save money first then after that when i had enough for a set of lowering kits and coilovers i gonna boost my money for it.. also if i had a nice set of rims too...

^ x2. maybe some blades or si wheels. then just go from there with what you want to do with it. But my 2 cents I would go with coilover 1st

Its not that people wanna be JDM, its just that its easier to call your car that. Ive had people tell me about their "EJ's" and im here thinking theyre talking about a 6th gen, when its actually their 5th gen. If they wouldve said EG it wouldve been easier.

I would work on the mechanical aspect of the car and make sure its running its best before even thinking of makin it look good. but thats just me

^^^ and from most of the threads ive read on here, when guys first get their car they focus on cleaning up the engine and the exterior, such as rims,lips and that type of thing.
