Question?

hey fellow JDMU members, i have a question about the front end conversion, i know most of you are already thinking, is this another 96-98 to 99-00 civic conversion question or watever. but the question i have and i searched the forum and couldn't find any answer. Well i know there is the 96-98 to 99-00 civic front end conversion, is it possible to do it the other way around. i have a friend who wants to covert, i told i think you can but not sure, don't wanna do double work on seeing that it can't. i know i have seen one guy do it before but didn't say how. if anyone know will gladly appreciate it.

the reason there is no builds or threads on it is because there is no cutting envolved.. so as long as you have hood, fenders, bumper & grill your good.. oh maybe need to drill the inner bumper holes a little wider ( near the grill)

well i know on the 96 to 00 conversion you need to cut, wouldn't just replacing the front bumper support do it all there?

man your making the conversion harder than it really is, all you need to do it take the old parts off and put the new parts on. if you have all oem new parts everything should line up really easy and you should be dont in hour and a half two hours tops.

did you read what i was asking in the beginning. i'm not trying to go 96-98 to 99-00 conversion Moron. I already know how to do that conversion there. my friend wants to do the vice versa... go from a 99 civic hatch to the EK4 front end. Reason he wants to do that is he wants to keep his climate control the way he has it since and if you know that 96-98 and 99-00 have different climate controls...

lol chill out dude..

He was right, its backwards and forwards compatible. The 99-00 chassis does NOT have anything that will interfere with putting on 96-98 parts.

This is the same car:

How it sits NOW.
