can any of you tell me what else would be involved with turbocharging the swap of a b16b or a b18c5 like pistons... pulleys... crank and other stuff to do the whole thing right?

.........

Dude you are obviously a n00b to the whole thing so if I were you i'd worry about getting the swap first, learning about it, then worrying about turbocharging it.

H2B swap

You will make more power than the B series and be more inline with K series power

B series are displacement limited H/F series is more cost effective all motor

As far as boost --- you can run 10's with a built B16, hell a D16....but more than power its reliability in the drivetrain that you should consider....B series trans holds up better than K series/D series trans....

I prefer a B series trans with an H/F motor setup with about 2.3-2.4L displacement

If money is an issue....all motor H/F H2B swap 280whp....built/boosted B16 550-600whp

B all motor is too small --- people saying C5 dont realize how much it costs to get a B series to make 230+whp let alone 280whp....if they did the would point you in the direction of the bigger blocks like the H/F series

If you just want to run 13's/12's --- just turbo the D16 you have and call it day

you could do a g23 all motor. does anyone remember that? IT had an article awhile back about the g23 motor this guy built. i dont remember his name. i kno i got the issue somewhere tho. all the motor is is a f23a short block and a h22a head using k20 pistons and a b series transmission with i think it was earlier integra axles. i kno there was alot of different parts from all the motors mixed in there too i just dont remember. but it was supposed to be cheaper than any of the other motors with a higher out put in power in stock (not aftermarket) form. id love to see someone do it big with that motor

Its an H2B swap which is what I told him to do

That is a mild build -- you could sleeve/deck plate it and get a custom crank for even more stroke and go 2.5-2.6L + crazy comp + crazy cams

Bisi has an all motor F22 maknig 400+whp NA...no B series can touch that...I keep telling these kids H2B and I see the same "ITR swap, ITR Swap"

Its a tad more work but the payoff is huge if you run an H2B setup ESPECIALLY all motor....boost you can make 400+whp with a D series so its just a matter of spool/torque if you bigger than a SOHC motor...400whp is 11's in most chassis...thats plenty fast for a noob and then by the end they will know if they need a 7-800whp build or not.

personal opinion and i know alot of people will disagree but b-18 and b-16 are good just that the H-22 is cheaper and gives you more bang for your buck.also love the k-20 if you can aford it
b16=160hp at crank $2600 for swap
b18=170hp at crank $2700 for swap
h22=200hp at crank $2200 for swap
all prices and hp rating from gotjdm.com and these are full swaps engine, ecu, trany, wireharness, driveaxles, shiftlinka ges, the works
