its loud depending on the piping you have. i know with stock piping its pretty loud. im running a stock header, HKS mid pipe and a Spoon N1 and its loud when im on it and sometimes quiet when im keeping the rpms steady.

see iv heard with stock piping its not so bad,but iv never heard it just with stock piping.

and iv heard if you go with the spooon b pipe and a new manifold its about 110 db..iv looked at videos on youtube but none of them are really accurate because thyre all b16/b18(mines only d14 ) with b pipe and the job lot so they are extremely loud..anyone got a vid or could do me a soundclip or vid of just the n1 backbox with stock piping..? would really appreciate it..thanks

Rated at 110db don't know about where you're at but in Cali the legal limit is 95db so already can get you in trouble but after being on my 2nd Buddy club spec 2 which if i had to guess is around 130db you'll be fine haha...good luck

its 110db for the hatchback Spoon N1 but the Ek4-4 the one used on a coupe is rated at 90db. check the Opak Racing site if you doubt me. the silencer lowers it by another 5db too.

True silencer helps but just my opinion if you're going to spend your money on an exhaust system just to run the silencer baffle it kinda defeats the purpose and restricts airflow. Save your money and protect your investment and get something a little quieter that will still perform well like Apexi, tanabe, greddy, etc. again just my .02 I love N1s and Spec2s though so hope you pick it up

if your concerned with performace use the silencer on the street and take it out at the track. problem solved.
