Got my new wheels on today bronze Volk RE30 with Rays lugnuts, kept using my stock tires, they've got a lot of life and grip left. Setup is 225/40/18 front and rear, front wheels are 18x8.5 +52, rear wheels are 18x8 +44 (staggered the correct way for FWD). Once I use up my stock tires, I'll be running 245's on the front, and keep 225's on the rear. I'm thinking about some Spoon springs, which will stiffen up the ride a bit and drop it 25mm (about 1") front and rear to hold me over until I decide what coilovers I want.
Didn't have too much time to drive the car hard, but I took it out to a quick small touge during lunch, and tested everything out. Initial turn in is quicker, steering feels lighter, less braking force was required than before (which = shorter stopping distances), no increase or decrease in overall traction. Can't wait to see how it feels with some wider rubber on the front.
And finally, my "WEAK" +52 and +44 offsets, looks flush enough to me. :dancingcoolsmiley:
Oh, total weight savings vs stock wheels:
29lbs In other words, LIGHT, the way all wheels should be.
