problems with my 89 prelude

ive just gotten an 89 prelude about a month ago and ever since ive had it ive noticed that the rpms are kind of high they are at about 12-1300 rpms when the car is warm any advice with that question? the other problem is when i floor the gas pedal the car feels like it is choking or something then i release it alittle and its fine, can anyone help me on that one too?

Could try and adjust the idle by the screw on the front of the throttlebody. Also the 3rd gen ludes tend to have issues with the iacv and the fast idle valves.

thanks for the advice i just took it to the mechanic and found out i need a new idle air control valve, not cheap but now i know and again thanks.

If you can get the part cheap somehow you can install it yourself and save the labor costs.
