How to remove the anoying crank pulley...

Well, everyone told me how horrible this pulley is to remove. It's a bitch like no other, or atleast it was for me. I cranked on it w/ a breaker bar, w/ a 130 lbs of impact wrench, beat the bolt w/ a block of wood and a hammer, threw the heat to it, and pb blaster. Nothing would take it off, not even 4 hours worth of trying. *yes, I tried that long*

Finally, we found a sweet, and very easy removal for it.

Simply, take a strap wrench, heavy duty if possible. Take some sand paper, and lay it on the inside of the strap, and then put it over the pulley. Draw it tight, and either hold on, but it's easier to just let it hold it self on the car. *you will see what I mean when you do it*

Anyways, after that's on, get under it, and crank at it w/ a breaker bar. Mine came off in about 10 seconds of busting both of my nuts on it. But she came off pretty fucking easy...just need some balls behind ya.

Well, that's that. I thought I mise well make a write up, and hopefully save lots of you time on changing the timing belt, or doing mini me swaps, etc.

Please let me know if you try it and it works, or any feedback is great.

Here is a photo of how to do it.

i had a huge problem with mine and what i did was remove the flywheel cover underneath the engine... stuck a diesel screwdriver in there and used my breaker bar. nothing happened to my flywheel or housing and it was a breeze. i also went at it for like 4+ hours before using this method

Go to Honda - they sell the Crank Pulley Holder special tool through their parts department. If hey tell you they don't they're a bunch of retards or liars - take your pick.
