O-Ring? I bet you it goes to one of your fuel injectors. You will know for sure when you try to start the car if it's not on there. lol

As of the 3 terminals. Well, I didn't have any either. The one wire isn't needed, so you can cut it off and use it. As of the others, I went to one of my junk Honda's and took 2 out of it.

I'm not sure if you need it, you may be able to use straight wire. If not, you will have to buy something that will work.

I was kinda lucky having parts cars to savage from.

Your almost there man, you will get it!!!

Mine did a pile of white smoke for a few days. What it was, when I pulled the head it must have got some sucked into the exhaust. It will burn out. I was worried sick.

You will be fine. Just run it like you stole it!!

As of the RPM's. It's going to need turned. There is a screw on your TB you can adjust some, see what happens when you play with that.

Glad she atleast started up and runs normal.

flipped the wires on the iacv and closed the hood and started the car back up. its now idling around 900. so i think im fine with the idling. in all honesty i think its actually the throttle cable bracket that you secure the cable to. i think thats causing it to act a little funny. jeremy did you have to modify the throttle cable bracket? the one that mounts right near the top of the im? when i had it hooked up without modifying it, it kept the rpm's at like 4grand lol. so i bent it a little closer to the tb and i think i've got it ok now.
im going to reset the ecu. hopefully the idle speed calibration was screwy from the first time i started up the car.

im more concerned about the white smoke. i think i can hear my rocker arms hit the valves. it just doens't sound quiet right. im gonna check the gap on the rockers and make sure they are where they should be

i think i should take it for a drive

ok i reset the ecu. then started the car up and let it idle for 10 minutes WITHOUT touching the gas to try and gte the idle speed calibration to be correct. it idle'd at 1.4K the entire 10 minutes. i waited abit then started it up and went for a drive. in between shifts it would go to 2k rpm's!! wtf. at stop signs it would rest at about 1.6k for one second and then drop down to 900rpm. after about 2 minutes of driving i got a CEL. so im gonna go find out which cel its throwing and i'll post that up here

EDIT:code 23 knock sensor. damnit i have that wired in why is it throwing a cel

EDIT2: the ecu pin for the knock sensor had gotton pushed out of the clip. so i repinned it and got it back into the ecu. so im assuming thats fixed. haven't driven it yet tho because i just pulled it into the garage and its a tight 1car garage so i'd like to check other things while im in before i take it out again (its raining out)

i reset the ecu, let it idle for 10 then took it for a drive. i drover for like 7-8 minutes with no cel. then from a stop light i gave it a spirited half throttle up to a lil over 5k. i slowed down and then put the clutch in and a check engine light came on and the rpms went up to 2.5k!!!!!!!! so i drove it home and checked the code and its a code 23 again! its deffinitly not the ecu side because the pin is in the plug. it may be the connection to the actual sensor. which means i need to pull off the IM. im going to work on it tomrrow morning. i'll drain the coolant and pull off the mani with out rmoving any coolant or vac lines and see if i can get at it enough to fix the connection. it was a shady connection i admit but it was only because i could not find anyone who carried a small enough connector to fit on it. i finally found a place to get a pack of ten tho so i'll rewire it with one of those.

Good luck man. Like any swap, it just take some time and trouble shooting.

Keep us posted. I know personally I'm interested.

ok the connection on the actual knock sensor had come loose. redid that and sealed it with rtv. no cel's anymore. but the car was idling at 1.8K

changed that idle speed screw and got the idles down to 800, sometimes they sit at 950 tho.

still hit 1.9-2k at every shift

when im coming to a stop, i drop the clutch and it goes to 1.9k and as soon as the car comes to a stop the rpm's drop to 750. i tried just coasting for a while to see if its a delay issue on something but when i coast it just stays at 1.9-2k and then as soon as im just about to come to a complete stop it drops to 750.

im going to try using my y7 tb and iacv after lunch

Wow, that's odd.

I never heard of rpm's staying at 2k until the car comes to a stop.

its working 100% now!! FUCK YAHHHH. i had to fix the knock sensor. and then my dad discovered the TPS was advanced. so i backed it up as much as it would go and BOOM perfect. i set that idle speed screw back to where it originally was and she is running like a champ!!!!

so far so good. no cel's, vtec works great, white smoke is gone! i think it was just residual and needed to be burnt off.

i will keep this updated with pics and also if anything comes up

thanks everyone for helpin out!

-Luke

jeremy the writeup was awesome. very very helpful. i had other ones bookmarked but yours was one of the best. just add to it that the y8 tb has the two coolant hookups that have to be plummed in aswell. and that some of the wiring for the sensors may have to be extended.

here are two pics, enjoy!

today i drove to school(20 min drive) and 5 mins in i got a cel. 10 mins in i noticed my engine temp was at half where normally its just below so i watched that and it just kept climbing up to 3/4 so i turned the heat on full blast and rolled down my windows. im in class now but i've got a break later today i'll find out what cel im throwing.
i know im low on oil, i was going to do the oil change today. i put in the same amount of coolant that came out but i'll top that off aswell. i also am going to get new plugs. my original ones were white when i pulled them out.

Your plugs will need changed, or should be yes. Mine were white as well.

As of the CEL, and then the car over heating...hmm. You sure the fan was working?? Maybe you blew a coolant line somewhere?

Check your coolant level before you leave.

The pics look good, and the intake manifold painted black makes it look really clean. Love the red valve cover.

As of the y8 tb having 2 coolant lines, that's what I was teling you above, and is what the pics were showing you.
