I believe Erin has the messurements for the EF sidemarkers as well, Erin if you see this you should post those up. But this is a nice write up.

heres the basic way to measure them. exact measurements were 150mm sideways and 235mm from top-mid of side marker where those 2 points meet is where the center of the sidemarker is. mine had 3 wires too. i just ignored the 3rd. i wired mine up jdm because it looks so much more badass! had them for 4 months and still havent gotten pulled over yet.

i used a jig saw, is doesn't heat up the paint and it makes a really clean cut

i just got my side markers and i printed off the template but i noticed it wasnt the exact size is there somewhere i can go to just print off the template and throw it on my car without doing all the measurements myself pm please asap

i have a question about the wiring. is it possible to wire them up the JDM way without having 3 wires? i bought my sidemarkers from password and they only have 2 so i wired them up to just blink but i want them to be on and blink. so what im getting at is do you really need them to be grounded or will having them in the circuit of the turn signal ground them automatically?
USDM:
Tap into green(turn signal) and black(ground) wire.
JDM:
Tap into red(parking light) and green(turn signal) wire.

if you want the "jdm way" then you just use 2 wires so its off until the turn signal is on to blink.

Got the clear JDM side markers in my garage, I just need the time to do the cuts for them. Hopefully I will practice a bit on a damage fender before doing the final product. BTW it not mention, but its a good idea to add touch-up paint to the cut metal to prevent rust.

any one know where i can get a template for a 89 civic hatch for side markers install.

Wow. almost 3 years passed and I still didn't get these installed. I plan to do it this weekend, or sometime very soon.

I got the templates all printed up, but it looks like some fenders have the holes cut so the center of the side marker is at the edge of the side molding.

Are these measurements of the OEM placement?
