k20 in a crx?

do you have to cut the hood for a k20 to fit in the crx? just wondering or what would be the best swap for a crx?

Fiber Images SiR hoods for the JDM front end or their SiR style hoods for the USDM will fit with either a stock A2 or A intake manifold. An RBC manifold, JRSC, or ITBs will require cutting as will any K24 based engine.

If you have a JDM front end you still have to cut the under webbing from the hood to make it fit with stock A2 or A.

I'm really curious how the K20 CRX handles. does the added weight of the engine cause any understeer?

And did you leave off the muffler? Cuz If I do the same swap I really don't want to draw the attention of the cops. .. no matter how cool it sounds.

give me lots of details. thanks...

K20 in a Rex that's nooooo traction lol trust me I know .... But it's a fun swap too have.... One off my friends cut hid hood up.. But my other friend got s sir hood it fit perfect in there....With a 3 inch exhaust and a vibrant muffler it was loud ass he'll .. I think the motor would hold back with a 2.5 I'm not really sure ...Oh and if u really going serious with it get the hybrid racing shifter box all my friends hot them omg it's like if u was in a stock d series car that's how smooth it is....and it looks nice...

Here is a pic of my old buddy's crx with a k20 in it. It clears the fiber images hood that he has just fine. We did have to space the engine down with like two washers i think it was. You can see that in the second pic. I put some other pics in there for some viewing fun. The last one of the engine bay is from the build. It's pretty dirty and not fully completed in that one.

You need to have a good set of sticky tires up front.. Race header, no cat and 3in exhaust is LOUD!! Using a 3in exhaust doesnt make that much of a difference in power. If its for a DD i would switch back to 2.5in add a resonator and call it a day... Overall it does make a fun car to drive, especially if you have a good suspension set up
