its still a matter of the fact that the usdm engine is 10 years newer

i agree in usdm motors the emissions are so strict compared to the jdm motors and im not sure why but vtec kicks quite a bit harder in jdm motors...id stick with jdm all the way in my opinion they are way better of a base to start with than a usdm p.o.s. lol

I guess I'll go with the JDM version. and what about Mileage? It'll obviously have low Km's
So I'm guessing that it'll get better mileage than a motor with 130,000+ Km's

USDM B16a2 160hp, 0-60, 7.2sec COUPE

JDM B16a 170hp, 0-60, ??????

I want one of these in my COUPE. I'm looking to do 0-60 within the 6 second range!!
My Japanese B16 (second gen) put down 155whp with intake and headerback 2.5" exhaust on the same dyno my B18C5 put down 159whp (stock...175whp with similar mods and a DC crap header)

The Japanese B16a (second gens) are MUCH stronger than USDM motors unfortunately and mod for mod will make more power

If your gonna spend the money on a swap though....H2B and call it a day...you will waffle stomp any B16 combo out there (all motor anyway)

2ng gen b16a has a more aggressive intake cam than the usdm b16a2. i have a usdm si and have owned two and there is a little difference in the two engines. i had a aebs mani, dc 4-1 header, greddy evo2 exhaust, intake and i think the manifold helps the most with the intake cam taking more air from the bigger cam lobe. but do that swap and put CTR cams in, i like them much better even with the usdm si ecu. i used to have bookmarks of a website with the specs on all honda motors but lost the link after hard drive failure. you intake will be louder than your exhaust depending on your setup. after i put the CTR cams in it got alot louder. and the compression is higher so definately rum premium only!!!
