Red face My New EH Build Thread.

Some more pics on Pg 2.
This has been a long time coming but I feel its @ a point where it will be done soon. I bought this car a year ago yesterday and I have loved it since day one. The more and more I went through it the more I found fucked up things with it. Im in college so whatever I do outside of bills and tuition has to be tight. But I figure it this way, if it werent the way it is I wouldnt be here typing about it now. Anyway here is the break down....

March '05
-When I first bought the car I knew it was going to need work. But like many I was a internet builder, I knew everything by reading but little by hand when it came to Imports (My pops had Charger's, 68 & 69 Camaro's and a 85 Lincoln Mark 7 w/383 so I knew my way around tools).

-Yeah it was dented to hell and my pops wanted to kick my ass but I didnt care.

Summer '05
Being the weirdo I am I stripped the car to inspect it and there were alot of things wrong with it.

-As you can see here the previous owner wired VTEC in with speaker wire, I was not having that shit.....

So you truely understand... ( I stripped the interior)

-He also was doing something with the fuel pump.

-Shit started cambering on the passenger side hard and I couldnt figure out what it was. And after spending around $300 @ Tire Kingdom (On NE 163st in North Miami for you SFLA folks, dont go there the service sucks and they made me leave my car overnight and the following day I had CEL's for the first time ever.) to figure it out the good people @ Miami Chassis found out my passenger lower control arm bushing was shot and took care of it for $200.

July/Aug '05
-Around this time I had to prepare to go off to college so as usual I went through my "Sell my car" phase. But I couldnt let it go, I went to school and worked 2 jobs to save up cash to move out and keep the car.
Here are some pics that I took for autotrader.

Dec/Jan '05
-After moving out here to the boonies the car got neglected for a long while. Everyone out here acts like price gouging is a religion but I got a few good deals. Especially a rear disc setup with Goodridge Stainless steel lines.

Feb/Mar '05
-A few weeks ago I was driving on the interstate and hydroplaned @ 70mph so I used it as an excuse to do some work. After getting my rear trailing arm bushings installed on the rear disc setup and installing that I tried my hand @ doing a wire tuck. Its safe to say I tucked it a lil too hard. So I ordered and installed one from a EX to get rid of that speaker wire shit. I also got my hands on a door and passenger side fender for a nice deal. My g/f's uncle does body work so he told me he would do my body work for free. I would just have to help him prep and then we send it in to get sprayed.

Apr '05
I only get to work on my car on weekends because I dont have the space for it where I live. So during the time I have between classes I debate with myself on how far to take the car. With the inspiration of BoostedJeff's EK, JDMDAN's DC2, especially PandaHatch's EH2 from H-T and a shit load of people from JDMU I figure I might as well go balls to the wall. Just hope I dont ever have to sell it. My girls uncle offered to do my body for free and my color change. Everything will be changed over except the engine bay which will be done in the summer. The color is on the hush.

Yeah, see the dents...

I have a question, where do most of you guys buy your amber corners and jdm fog lights from? I was thinking about grabbing some from ebay but I dont know what sellers to trust. Any suggestions?

What a build you got going on. I did'nt know you were from north Miami. I live right around the corner form that tire kingdom you were talking about. As far as the fogs I bought mine off a seller called jhot exports on ebay. Prolink also has some eg bumpers with the foglights already in them. Good luck either way bro!!!!

I dont think I need to buy all that stuff just corners and fogs, Im really debating on fogs b/c alot of roads flood down here and I dont wanna risk messing them up. I might do it as a cheap alternative to hids. And as for color its a secret. The guy who is painting the car doesnt even know what color it is yet.

I never thought that building a car would be the easiest thing on my agenda. My quest to put my ideas on it is the hardest part.
