Red face My new kaa (2006 Accord SE)
Here are some pics I just took of my car, it is pretty sunny still right now so sorry for the sun! =) Syyyyke. Anyway, it's an auto unfortunately since I couldn't find a standard let alone not hear everyone in the family bitch about me getting a standard. But the price was right and low miles (32657 although now it has 328xx). Enjoy. Any suggestions on what to start with are appreciated and will be put into thought haha. First, tint for my son though! =)

can you have tints in the front in NY? if so then i would get a tint. i hate it when a car is only tinted in the back due to local laws and restrictions. other than that i think you should leave it stock since its a family/work/commuter car.

You can have tints but there is only a certain percentage you can go to. I think I went 30 or 35 last car I tinted and it was fine. And that was a 4 door Civic too, but if I did lower it I'd need to readjust for the winter and snow so who knows if it would truly be worth it, ya know? I wanted a front lip if I could find one. I would do minor things nothing major.

In NY it is 100% illegal to put anything other than stock tint on the front windows. Anything behind the driver it does not matter how dark you go.


With that being said congrats on the car. Lower it, tints, Maybe some mugen goodies or a factory lip kit is nice for those cars.

The benefit of getting coilovers is the adjustability (sp?) but they tend to have a stiffer ride than if you go with a nice set of springs and shocks.

in chicago you can't have any tints in the front no matter how light it be and cops are real thirsty to give out tickets especially when they say the city has a deficit.
