Just a quick question

So I'm pretty new to this whole thing, I'm only 17 after all. Right now I'm driving a Pontiac Grand Am (I know, right), but I'm very interested in the JDM scene. My question for anyone is, what would be the best JDM Honda/Nissan to start with and mod as I go on? I'm not making much money at the moment, but I'm getting a new job soon that should pay better.

Thanks in advance!

If you are just getting into it, try something that has a large amount of aftermarket support.

240sx, civic, integra, mr2, Z, fit, s2000, etc.

There are many options out there, find a car you like and are comfortable driving.

Thanks for actually answering the question

I guess I like EG/Ek hatches and Tegs the most, I'll get back to you guys when I make the purchase.

Sounds good I started with a 94 Integra. Pretty fun with some minor mods.

nobody can really answer this question for you but they can give opinions...... personally i started with an eg sir saloon then went to a 32 gtst then back to an ek sir the egs were always prosumed to be a better car than the ek,the ek was considered to be a bit softer than the eg but it all depends what you put into it. with you talking of not havin much money i wouldnt go throught the path of t/c r/w nissans because if you want to stay away from expensive problems you will have to spunk out a fair bit of cash to buy a mint example in the first place and then theres the running costs.....we used to call it skyline taxes......."break pads?what they for?"...."a 32 gtst"...."ohhhhh an extra $50 please" you get the idea.If it was me?? id go for an eg and grow from there, but at the end of the day its your choice your the one whos gonna be drivin it,best of luck with whatever you decide on
