i have to smog next year and ive been hearing that swap motors dont pass. Any info?

To answer your question: YES you can smog test a motor swap HOWEVER Cali has two parts -- the visual inspection and the actual sniffer test You can pass the sniffer but still fail --- if the motor doesnt have all the working smog equipment, has non carb legal mods, or is JDM and not a replacement motor --- you will most likely fail I am personally working on a solution but until I finish youll most likely be SOL if you get pulled over or told to see the state smog ref
