Yup! AEM, K&N, and Injen all make good intakes.

You can even make your own if you get a pipe, couplers, and a filter.

Probably even less than that

Whats funny is the US D16 in the EKs with the TB pointing directly up is PERFECT for a ram air setup...to this day I have yet to see anyone take advantage of it...although I suspect without a built single cam its wouldnt do much except for look cool

On the other hand there is an H2B guy running an STI carbon fiber hood scoop feeding his top mounted TB...1-1.5psi manifold pressure at speed!

Ram air FTW!

3" tubing - blox velocity stack with AFE filter -- cheap intake that should work well even at higher power levels

Honestly when you take OFF the stock intake youll see whats needed for the intake your putting on.

The biggest differences are the length, width, bends, filter element, material used and NAME

When I had my D16 in my EK I bought an AEM short ram....swore it made power...dyno charts from other guys showed like a 10whp gain! booyaa! Of course 95whp to 105whp isnt much to sneeze at but hey...thats a 10% gain to the wheels boy!

Anyway....you should see similar results on your own....the AEM was nothing magical but it was pretty....metalic blue powdercoated -- AEM filter....BLING! I also paid like $2XX for it OUCH!

Now days you can pickup a cheapy for like $60 from pepboys but I would change the filter element to an AFE/AEM/KN...cheapy filters are crap

If you make one, the filter will be the most expensive part...but its reusable and will flow good enough for a swap/turbo later so you can keep it for quite a while.

i agree

i agree, just pay a quick visit to your local autozone and they will probably have a short ram setup for cheap, plus a filter, and even some little air breathers if you like. all for under $100
