SR20DET Heater Core Hoses?

What do i need to do to get the heater core hoses on the back of the block to my firewall? I was thinking use a 90 degree brass elbow for the lower one but im not sure if it will work. I have a 90 240sx w/ redtop sr20det. TIA

I've never known of anyone actually trying to reconnect the heating lines. Let me know how it works out for ya...

You can move the lines around so that they are aiming the right direction. Just look at the stock lines and you should be able to tell which ones to move where. I had a pic, but I just formatted my harddrive last night.

On the back of the engine, the heater hoses need to be modified since the JDM car has the heater on the opposite side. Remove the L shaped backing plate and trim the turbo coolant rubber line to enable the bracket and line to be pushed slightly towards the passenger side to bolt into the next bolt hole over. Attach a U shaped heater hose to the steel outlet on the back of the engine, this will be connected to the rest of the heater hose up near the top of the valve cover. This cannot be done when the engine is in place due to firewall clearance – make sure the hose is tight and everything is secure back there.

This is my first post so I cant post the picture to make it easy on you or even point you in the right direction on a website due to the weird url refferer rules on this forum......

Its all good, the no posting pics till 15posts or whatever does kinda suck. However its there to help prevent trolls and such.
