Thank you all for your great comments. I will pass them onto my cousin Lee, the one who owns and did all the restoration on the car. One day I will get him to join up with the JDMU.

I believe he won it off of ebay for $100. It might have been $150, but either way, it was a pretty good price. Though I think it cost him $350 in gas and tires for the trailer to haul it back to Texas. The guy he bought it from ticked me off. Here we are driving that many miles in a hurry because he wants it gone. And he gives us a thirty minute window to pick the car up in. Do you know how much crap goes on during a drive of that distance. How many construction zones, detours, and general delays that take place. So I'm glad Lee got the steal of a deal from him.

I'll ask him, but I think he has looked into the issue considerably. I believe he has found another solution, but his money is going to his 1972 Corolla restoration now.

I should know more about Nissan by now, but I don't. I'll have to look up information on that motor. I'm a softie for motor swaps. But the owner of the car is pretty strict about keeping this a period correct car. He might go with a DOHC version of the motor that is currently in this car, if it was that way in Japan or something similar. I think the Skylines in those years had the DOHC version of this motor, but I'm not sure. I'll leave that up to the Nissan gurus to discus.

Get your post count up, and post some pictures. It is motivating to hear the encouraging comments as you post up progress of your build. Plus you sometimes get leads on parts that you didn't know were available, or cheap parts others don't want. But the encouraging comments from others are a huge help half way through a build, when you are ready to send the whole heap to the salvage yard.

That car looks AMAZINGGGGG.
Why not just cut the OEM springs a bit? I doubt it will be too bumpy since he has after market shocks.

Thanks. The lack of pauses is due to the fact that it was already 80% done when the pictures started to be posted up. Thanks for the props, and idea, but I don't think he will go for cutting his springs.

He is installing fender flairs on his other project car. I'll have to pass your suggestion onto him. They would look nice indeed.
Thanks again for everyone's comments. I'll pass them along. Hopefully I'll find the pictures of the latest A/C and engine bay work and post them up sometime soon.
