What's wrong with the KA?

The only reason why you hear KAs blow up all the time is because either the owners of those KAs A) don't give a fuck about those motors, or B) they don't know what they're doing and thus blowing them up.

The ones that don't give a fuck about their KAs operate under the mentality that those motors are near give away motors (depending on where you live), and thus they can blow them up and have another motor ready to go in no time.

If you have a decent KA, and know how to tune (or can find someone local or semi-local to tune it) it yourself, the motor should hold up just fine.

Nowadays it is indeed much easier to find parts for the SR, but just remember, they stopped making the S13 redtop/blacktop motors long ago, and I'm pretty sure by now all the good/decent motors in the junkyards are gone, so all you're left with are the not so decent motors for cheap. The expensive ones are probably priced that way because the suppliers probably had to buy the whole car, then just take the engines out of them.

that is what i am talking about, some feedback. my KA has lots of miles on it, and of course i don't know how the previous owner(s) drove it. i have a chance to get a fresh KA for $500, so i will prolly just do that, but i don't know. from the start of this i was thinking
anti-SR, but who knows.

my heater sucks......the climate control only works on 1 sometimes 2. its not hot unless i am going down the road.....so it has me thinking i need to replace the blower motor and or the climate control, and flush the heater core. is there an easy way to flush the heater core?

I don't know, but mine had a leak at the plastic inlet/outlet tubes, and I ended up taking the heater hoses from the back of the engine and looping them together, and I've been meaning to fix the heater, but haven't done so.

Now, what do you mean Iit's not hot unless i am going down the road"?

Because you do know that the heater gets its heat from the hot coolant? So you would need a warm car before you get warm air out of the heater, so you would NEED to go down the road before your engine is warm enough to give you heat.
