Oh I know all about that.

I'm in the MIDDLE, like, eye brow deep, in that process called "broke as fuck".

At least your car has wheels on it and drives.

Mine drives, but has no wheels on it.

haha thats funny that you mention that cause at the moment its acting as a huge paper weight for my driveway. starter went out and im tired of pushing it and i have two hairline fractures in my oil pan. ah the joys of broken parts and no money to fix them!

How the hell did you get hairline cracks in your oil pan at the current ride height?

My pan was hammered back out from when I first bought the motor (it was slightly dented in at that time), and even now when I'm slammed, the oil pan is free from cracks.

Thank goodness for sway bars and engine crossmembers.

it more than likely happened from all the times i took it out and put it back in with the lack of an engine stand and setting it on the ground. so it was prolly me.

Hmm...

Did you dump the engine on the ground every time you put it down? Or did you put it down slowly?

Because just from the motor sitting on the pan, it still shouldn't have cracked.

It's like mild steel or whatever, it's quite "soft" if you know what I mean, and not brittle, so it shouldn't have cracked, unless you kept bending it, and bending it, etc.

nope everytime i took it out i eased the motor down as soft as i could, but i guess the last time i did it was once too many.

Shoulda used a piece of plywood or something to set the motor on man lol

Or my personal favorite: a motherfucking phonebook.

Them shits can cushion a 50 story fall if you placed them in the right spots.

Anyway, a new pan isn't that expensive last I checked, or you could get that badass Moroso pan that just came out not long ago. Same principle as the GReddy one, but cost less, is a real legit part, made in the USA, and much better quality.

Some GReddy knock offs are porous as fuck, and oil will just leak out of the pan all over since it's not dense enough of metal.

I'm telling ya, save up the extra bit of money if you can, and just get the Moroso pan. You will not regret it.

Or just get a new or newer but used stock oil pan if you don't have enough for the Moroso pan, as the stocker in good condition is still not a bad part to replace your broke ass one with.
