i need a/c

FYI: 92 240sx fastback with stock KA24DE
bought a retro-fit kit to recharge the a/c.....there was alot of pressure in it to start with.

i let the pressure out and started recharging it a little at the time. i used two cans and still no cold air.

the light on the a/c button comes on, and the compressor comes on cause when i hit the a/c button my engine idles a little higher.

i need help with this, i am tired of riding around sweating.....lol.

If your compressor is kicking on and you have enough pressure in your line then i'm gonna guess it's either your condensor, or your head unit is defective. Most likely the condenser. make sure you have good air flow to it. Also, it could be the expansion valve, they tend to clog with debris. I'm not an a/c expert so it could be something i'm missing. I hope that helps.

someone on another forum said expansion valve. that ain't but like $35 so i will do that first.....thanks

Or try to find a local guy to diagnose your problem.

There's a local guy that checked my entire system and recharged my A/C for $65 with R134A.

If compressors kickin on and it has refrigerant kinda sounds like an expansion valve.

A/C is the coolest mod you can do to a car if it doesnt have it. period.

take it to a shop.. have it vacumed down, checked for leaks around your new retro fittings, and filled to proper capacity.
