put it in first gear
push the clutch in all the way
let it out SLOW until you feel the car start to move
give it gas

dont pop the clutch out of first or second gear

if you pop it out of first you will stall
if you pop it out of second you will hop

1. Scan the classifies for a car similar to yours
2. Call up the seller and schedule a test drive
3. Ask seller if you and a responsible looking adult (who you brought along) can take a short test drive.
4. Have R. adult pull away from seller and drive to a secluded area
5. Switch seats and PRACTICE !!!!

Do not hold the car on a hill with the clutch.

Do not wait for a traffic light to turn green with the transmission in gear and the clutch depressed.

Do not rest your foot on the clutch while driving.
I do all of those... And ive been downshifting incorrectly aswell... Opps...

I figured the hill clutching was a bad thing... But Im scared ill roll back into someone...

you wont roll back into someone if you keep your foot on the brakes
when the light turns green, while still on the brakes, push in the clutch and go to 1st, and then in one smooth motion start letting the clutch out and get off the brakes and give it some gas. if you do it quickly and correctly, you wont roll back at all. although sometimes its fun to roll back a tad just to scare the guy behind you LOL

when on a steep slope pull the e brake, and leave the car in neutral. when its time to go, put into first and try to move foward, you'll notice the car will want to move, release the ebrake and move foward up the hill, till you learn how to drive well, then you wont have to worry about that anymore.
