2002 WRX questions

im seriously thinkin about gettin a wrx; however, i am worried about a few things. first of all, i was wondering if it costs significantly more to fix than your average honda. Second, i was wondering if it will be a reliable and long-lasting car. Is it really worth the cost to have this car? Thanks in advance for answering. im not exactly sure if this car is going to cost a lot of money to maintain because my prior car was an EK and it had no probs at all.

maintence is about the same, however aftermarket parts are a fair bit more expensive.

I heard something about the trannys after a while, but I am not positive. I know a guy that had a problem like that

So far I know the Tranny can take the abuse-
the car should be fine
there are a lot of 2.5rs still running around
should be a good sign for longevity.

84k on a stock tranny, 2 1/2 clutches and over 100 passes at the track and the trans shifts BEAUTIFULLY!!
