When you say Subaru, I'm assuming your speaking of the Sti. Drive both, make a decision. Subaru's drivetrain is more stout while the engine of the Evo takes to mods easier. The Evo is fairly easy to drive while the sti takes a little more skill. I mean the comparisons could go on for a while.. What are your plans for the car?

i say evo in my area you can find a much better deal on a evo then a same year sti. and ive always like the 4g63 layout compared to that of the subaru (cant recall if its ej25 or ej20). the 4g63 just seems alot easier to maintain and work on thats just my .02. of course i dont own an sti so ur better off asking a sti guy on maintance.

Get the Subaru. Think about it this way, you wouldn't have built or owned a dsm eclipse/laser/talon.... so why start now. I only really like EVO V anyways. haha! Not to obtainable.

depends on your plans for it... you want a but load of Hp then Evo, you want a Good handling car STI. if the option is between a WRX (not Sti) and and evo. i'll take an evo! if its sti and evo i'll take an STI! thats my opinion!

I love my STi. I fought the battle between the two cars and really the EVO's reliability was my main concern.

My car has been boosted @ 23-24psi for the last two years with no issues.

I have Subby love.

they both can make a "butt load" of power bro, not just one of them, and they both handle great! i believe the evo handles better based on a numbers perspective alone.

From what ive heard the sti just takes more skill to drive thus why evos tend to always get the pick. Also if its going to be a DD go with the sti plus heres a vid of sti vs. evo but they are jdm spec. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeiU8...eature=related
