Supra breaks standing mile record: over 240mph

Well they did a hell of a lot more than break 229 mph, they smashed it with a new standing mile record of 241.8 mph. That's covering nearly 1800 meters in just over 25 seconds! Congrats to driver Sriyantha Weerasuria and Boost Logic!

The 1,400+ rwhp Boost Logic Supra uses a 3.4l stroked 2JZ-GTE, Boost Logic Race Head, a Garrett GT55-91 (91 mm A/R) Turbo and a completely stock drivetrain. SW had to keep the car in 5th gear to avoid losing mph shifting to 6th so he passed through the traps at 242.8 mph in 5th at more than 9,500 rpm!

Supras are wicked, no doubt about it. It did that on a "stock drivetrain" too! Thats incredible. Nearly everything about a Supra is designed for going fast. They just don't build 'em like they used to!
